William H. Lattimer, 85, formerly of Wellsville

Lattimer was a past Moose Lodge No. 601 Governor

   William H. Lattimer, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 85 years of age.

   The son of the late George L. & Dorothy Cosner Lattimer, he was born on April 28, 1939 in the Town of Greenville, NY.

  William was a retired truck driver and drove for A.L. Blades in Hornell, NY. He also retired from Dairylea Cooperative Inc. where he formed long lasting relationships with the dairy farmers and their families. He was a Life Member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 601 and had served as Governor for 2 terms. He was also past president of the Future Farmers of America, and enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter.

   Survivors include; his children, Brenda L. O’Connell and her husband William, Nancy L. Lattimer, Bonnie L. Licardi and her husband Chris & William W. Lattimer and his wife Michele; his grandchildren, Jennifer O’Connell, Joshua O’Connell (Jessica), John Bacigalupo (Jennifer), Janell Budd (Rich), Vanessa Swingle (Valentin), Rachel Swingle (Randy) & Brittany Vespe (Michael); 7 great grandchildren with one on the way; his brother, Richard Lattimer and his fiance Jean-Anne; his sister, Linda Greenhill-Pitre and her husband Stephen;  several nieces & nephews, and very special friends Marty & Mary James. William was predeceased by his parents, his wife Evelyn, daughter Tammy Swingle, granddaughter Jacqualyn O’Connell, grandson Joseph O’Connell and son-in-law Dennis McCombs.

   Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

    A visitation for family and friends will take place for 10 AM to 12 PM Saturday, February 22nd at Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Interment of his cremains will take place at a later date in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Otisville-Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 628, Otisville, NY 10963 or to the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 601, 242 Maple Avenue, Wellsville, NY 14895.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
