Thursday, April 3, 2025, was the deadline to file petitions for the office of alderman in the City of Hornell. The following Democrats gathered the required number of signatures and filed petitions:

Ward 3: Diedre Cardamon
Ward 6: John Bradley
Ward 7: Okeena Gadsden
Ward 8: Sean Stewart
Ward 10: John Carbone

John Carbone has represented Ward 10 on the city council for over 20 years. John Bradley and Sean Stewart ran in 2023. Diedre Cardamon and Okeena Gadsden are running for the first time.

Currently, John Carbone is the only Democrat who serves on the city council. When one party has an overwhelming majority, alternative solutions to local challenges tend to be ignored. With your support, we will elect four more Democratic aldermen and bring political balance back to our local government
