Melissa Burdick Pike, 69, of Reisterstown, Maryland, passed away at the home she loved on March 4, 2025. Born January 20, 1956 in Buffalo, New York, she was the eldest daughter of the late Rodney and Laine Pike and is survived by her daughter, Rhiannon Staub, her son-in-law Matthew Kelly, grandchildren Adelyn and Aiden Kelly, her sisters Melinda Pike Senick and Molly Pike, and her ex-husband Jeff Staub. She was a graduate of Belmont Central School, Alfred Ag Tech, and Rutgers University.
Melissa was the proudest mother, grandmother, and aunt. She found so much joy in spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and all of her extended family. Her love of the outdoors was evident in the effort (including peer pressure) she put into recycling, her love of rocks and Smokey the Bear, and the time and care she put into her landscaping business, where she fostered many lasting friendships. She was an enthusiastic Buffalo Bills fan (through the good and the bad), loved live music (especially Guavatron, her nephew Rodney Hansen’s band), was an avid reader, and was happiest at Cuba Lake.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025. All are welcome. Reach out to InMelissasMemory@gmail.com to attend. Online condolences may be made at www.ElineFuneralHome.com.
