Alfred State College (ASC) hosted the 2025 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship, and ten students earned the right to compete at Nationals with their performance. The event, held on ASC’s Wellsville campus, featured thirty-two students competing in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude.
Students from Alfred State and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) competed for a chance to advance to the 61st National SkillsUSA Championship to be held in Atlanta, GA, June 23 to June 27. At Nationals, more than 6,500 students compete in 114 occupational and leadership skill areas.
“Once again we had a great day of competition,” stated NYS SkillsUSA College Postsecondary director Craig R Clark, PhD. “I would like to thank our sponsors, industry judges, and Alfred State for hosting a first-class event. I am excited to see how our New York representatives do at Nationals.”
