This Saturday April 19th there are two local easter egg hunts combined with kids bike giveaways sponsored by Wegman’s

Easter egg hunts are some of the best lasting memories for kids during this holiday season. This year, kids in Canisteo and Hornell will get something even better than a visit from the Easter Bunny: A visit by “The Bikeman,” Larry Pelkey with his family. Wegman’s of Hornell has offered to sponsor both of these events focused on providing a fun Easter holiday and a “new” bike for this summer!
They will be giving away sixty bikes this Saturday, with helmets to get kids who need a new bike ready for summer!! Larry and his crack team of bike refurbishing professionals, aka his grandchildren, have a simple mission: Collected unwanted bikes, repair and restore the bikes, and give them to a kid for free!! If you remember riding your bike around the neighborhood with your friends as a kid then you understand how amazing this is.
The first egg hunt and bike giveaway is at the Wesleyan Church in Canisteo. Bike giveaway begins at 9:00 am and Easter egg hunt at 10:00. Larry’s daughter Auden will be leading the giveaway with support staff of Jewel, Piper, Mylah, and Dagger.
Bring the kids to 25 Greenwood St, Canisteo
Second event is the Kiwanis Easter egg hunt at Shawmut Park in Hornell NY. The kids bike giveaway starts at 10 am and Easter egg hunt at 11:00am. The Bikeman himself will be giving away bikes with his bike techs Arrow and Jonah. The Kiwanis will have the Easter Bunny on site for this hunt !!
