Bob Confer to speak about birds and wildflowers at Grace United Church at 6pm

By Andrew Harris,

One of the Wellsville Sun’s nature columnists, Bob Confer, will be speaking to the Allegany County Bird Club on Friday, May 2nd.

His presentation — “Feathers and Flowers” — will highlight 10 birds and 10 wildflowers that he considers to be “must see” in Allegany County during the month of May. Bob’s adventures in Allegany County take him from the high peaks region around Alma Hill to the Genesee River to the state forests near Alfred. He will be sharing photographs and observations from his time in the woods and along the water.

Bob’s keen eye and encyclopedic knowledge will be insightful and educational for even the most experienced naturalist.

The public is welcome to attend. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM and will be held at Grace United Church, 289 North Main Street, Wellsville.
