Multiple areas of the county impacted, drivers take caution

At 838 PM EDT, Emergency management reported several washouts in the warned area including in Wayland, Perkinsville, Cohocton, Howard, and the Town of Dansville areas. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen with this most recent batch of rain. Additional rainfall amounts of less than a quarter of an inch is expected this evening, but flash flooding is ongoing from the earlier thunderstorms. HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. R 14 Temporarily Closed for Debris Removal
Steuben County – County Road 14 is temporarily closed due to flood-related debris removal. Crews are working to clear the area and ensure safe travel.
