“Call men” have over seven decades of combined service to the City of Hornell
From City Hall,
The Employee Spotlight proudly shines on Leroy Lewis and Chris Kramer. Lewis and Kramer are current callmen with the Hornell Fire Department.
Mayor John Buckley states, “Our callmen do a tremendous job providing support and back up for our fire department. This includes assisting with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and transfers from St. James Hospital to a higher level of care.”
Lewis and Kramer are familiar faces around the Hornell Fire Department. Lewis was a former firefighter who retired after 36 years of service and has been a callman for 6 years. Kramer has been a callman for 35 years with a long family history of firefighting with the Hornell Fire Department.
“As EMS needs increase, we deeply appreciate the dedication and support of our call men, especially Leroy and Chris. Both Leroy and Chris continue to respond to a call of duty to serve the community and provide dozens of EMS runs and transfers. They not only support the fire department, but also connect residents with health services during what is often their greatest time of need.”
Thank you, Leroy and Chris!
