Andover NY will host the Hibernians 12th annual event on the Kilbane Road

COUNTDOWN IS ON: JUNE 14TH AOH IRISH ROAD BOWLING IN ANDOVER, NY!! The 12th Annual Allegany County Ancient Order of Hibernians Irish Road Bowling Tournament is fast approaching, and all roads will lead to Kilbane Road in the Town of Andover, NY on Saturday June 14th!

There will be medals again awarded for Under 16 years, Women’s Open, men’s Open, Mixed Doubles and Senior Divisions for the 2 person teams. The AOH Division hopes to again get 70-85 two person Road Bowling teams for this premier outdoor event in the beautiful Allegany Wilds and Andover Region of Allegany County! Dean also reminds everyone that “this is a great family-oriented event for road bowlers of all ages and skill levels. Mark Joyce of Andover and Shane Dunbar of Wellsville are also again expected to participate defend their Men’s Open Road Bowling Title and possible set another Course record on the shorter course this year. In addition, Try It Distributing of Western NY is again a valued sponsor of our event and we thank them for their ongoing support” says Dean.

The annual Allegany County Irish Road Bowling Event is one of 2 major Fund Raisers (Also September Island Park AOH Car Show in Wellsville) for the local AOH Division that allow the AOH to donate locally to Food Pantries in Wellsville, Alfred, Cuba, and Fillmore as well as to provide local $500 scholarships to graduating area Seniors going to College. This years AOH Scholarship recipients are Brooklyn Dahlgren, Bryce Rahr and Gavin Haggerty of Wellsville High School and Ben Byrnes of Alfred-Almond Central School.
The local AOH Division is committed to helping fight Hunger in Allegany County as well as help assist local Seniors going to college.
