The Bikeman wants every kid on a bike this summer! He has already put 1331 refurbished bikes on the streets since starting this labor of love for the community.

Five of Larry’s grandkids will be attending this Saturday at the Hornell Area Humane Society’s “Cause For Paws” event to give away bikes to those who need a good working ride this summer. The Bikeman crew will be set up and ready at the Jill Andolina Dog Park at 10am, Rev McCormick will hold the Blessing of the Animals at 1030am.

Got old bikes? Unwanted and used bikes can be dropped off at 18 State St.

Larry explains that he needs more bikes to repair and give away in order to keep the giving going:

“One of my biggest sources is no longer able to provide kids bikes for me. They are very short on kids bikes and have had many families in the Rochester area in need of kids bikes. “
