Bath Fire responds to devestating Savona structure fire, GALLERY

Bath Fire Units were dispatched on 6/8/25 at 1:32pm to respond Mutual Aid to a Structure Fire in the town of Savona. Initial reports were that a garage was on fire, but it was spreading into the house. Bath Fire Assistant Chief 501 was first on scene along with Campbell Assistant Chief 901 with fire blowing out the windows of the house. A second alarm was requested for manpower and additional resources by the Savona Chief. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Units on scene were Savona, Bath, Campbell, Painted Post, Corning Joint Fire District and Hammondsport. Bradford was standing by at the Savona station, Bath Ambulance and ALS 101 and a BLS Unit from AMR were standing by on scene as well.

BATH FIRE UNITS were back in service around 6:11pm.
