From the NYSDEC:
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation personnel will be surveying black bass and sunfish populations for a total of 3 to 4 nights the weeks of June 9th and June 16th. The work will be performed at night into the early morning using boat electrofishing gear. If you see lights and/or hear a generator along the shoreline between the hours of 9 PM to 2 AM, it will likely be DEC staff. This survey follows statewide sampling protocols and will allow us to assess the current condition of bass populations.
