This year’s inmate garden is well on its way to producing a bountiful harvest!πŸ₯¬πŸ…πŸ₯’πŸ§…

From the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, pictured is the 2024 garden

Inmates selected to work in the garden are gaining hands-on experience and learning valuable skills they can carry with them beyond their time here.

The produce grown will help support our kitchen and provide fresh food for the inmate population – and just like last year, a portion will be donated to the local food bank. In 2024, the garden yielded over 1,800 pounds of fresh produce!

New for this season: Apple and pear trees have been planted, with peach trees coming soon! πŸŽπŸπŸ‘
