Local veterans and their families are invited to gather at Kanakadea Park on Saturday, July 12, for the annual We Are Dwyer Veterans Freedom Festival, a day dedicated to honoring service and supporting those who have served. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is free to attend.

The festival will feature a complimentary picnic lunch, live music by the White River Band, family-friendly games, and face painting. A veterans resource fair will also be held on-site, connecting attendees with organizations offering services related to mental health, employment, housing, and other key areas.

Open to all veterans, active-duty service members, and their families, the event serves both as a celebration and a platform for community connection and reintegration support. RSVPs are encouraged for veterans, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers.
