Hornell, NY — Thursdays at the Square continues its summer celebration on Thursday, July 31, with a special community-focused event: Feed the Community Night, presented by Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG), along with Fidelis Care InsuranceWegmans, and HP Hood, who are proudly sponsoring this special event. In the spirit of unity and giving, HPG is inviting the community to bring a canned or dry good item in exchange for a free hot dog meal. All food donations collected will directly support the Fresh Start Pantry, helping local families in need.

The meal will be prepared and served by RISEN, the outreach arm of Fresh Start Church (Reaching Into Society’s Every Need). RISEN is committed to serving the Hornell area by feeding, clothing, and supporting individuals and families through donated resources. Under the leadership of Pastor Matthew and Jeanette Sassano, RISEN runs a monthly food pantry and community meal, and a free clothing boutique that is now open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as on the third Saturday of each month.

The food is being provided by Fidelis Care, a trusted name in health insurance across New York State, committed to accessible, affordable coverage for all, and Wegmans, which has long been recognized as a leader in community support and giving. With a strong commitment to fighting hunger and promoting wellness, Wegmans donates millions of pounds of food annually and partners with local nonprofits to address food insecurity. Their participation in this event reflects their deep-rooted mission to make a difference in every community they serve.  HP Hood, a national leader in dairy products, is also lending a hand; their generous Gold Level sponsorship is helping to provide the live music for the evening, Seneca Jam, bringing their vibrant sound and crowd-pleasing performance to the stage for an unforgettable evening of music.

Hornell Partners for Growth is proud to bring everyone together for this collaborative evening of community spirit and support. As part of the event, local craft vendors are invited to participate. Space is limited, and the cost is $10 per 10×10 vendor spot. Interested vendors can contact HPG at HornellPartners@gmail.com to reserve a space.

Join us in downtown Hornell on July 31 for an evening of great food, great music, and giving back. Let’s come together to support our neighbors in need and enjoy a summer night filled with heart.  For updates on the night vendors, go to the Discover Hornell App or our Facebook Events page: Feed the Community – Thursday at the Square July 31 – Seneca Jam | Facebook
