Road Closure Notice: County Route 68 (Crosby Creek Road) in Town of Hornellsville
BATH, NY — Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose has announced that County Route 68, also known as Crosby Creek Road, in the Town of Hornellsville will be closed to all traffic from Valley View Road to Crites Road beginning Monday, August 4th through Wednesday, August 6th, 2025.
The temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a cross-road drainage pipe.
There will be no on-site detour during this project. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.
The Department of Public Works appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as we work to improve infrastructure and ensure road safety.
Bridge Closure Announced on County Route 11 in Town of Bath
BATH, NY — Steuben County Department of Public Works
Commissioner Eric Rose has announced that the bridge on County Route 11 (Babcock Hollow Road) over Culver Creek, located between Nash Road and Wagner Hill Road in the Town of Bath, will be closed to all through traffic starting Monday, July 21, 2025.
The bridge, officially identified as Bridge No. 11-03 (BIN 3332990), will undergo a full replacement as part of a planned infrastructure improvement project. The reconstruction will include the installation of new concrete abutments and concrete deck beams to ensure long-term safety and reliability.
The project is expected to last approximately 12 weeks, with work anticipated to be completed in mid-October 2025, weather permitting.
A one-lane on-site detour will be in place to maintain limited local access. Motorists are urged to use caution, follow posted signage, and plan for potential delays during construction.
