Sheriff: Addison bank robber busted in Corning after over 100 tips

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that at about 5am on September 5th, 2025, the Steuben County SWAT team, in conjunction with the City of Corning Police Department, executed a search warrant on a residence on West First Street, Corning, New York, as part of the investigation into the recent bank robbery in Addison.  Recovered in the search was an AR platform type pellet rifle, a pellet pistol, a vehicle, cash and phones.  Arrested pursuant to the search was Dominick W. Bova, age 30, of West First Street, Corning, New York.   It is alleged that Mr. Bova robbed a financial institution, displaying what appeared to be a firearm, in Addison on August 22, 2025.  Over the past two weeks, investigators have conducted dozens of interviews, processed over 100 tips and recovered footage from multiple cameras to identify Mr. Bova as the alleged robber.  Mr. Bova is charged with Robbery in the First Degree, a class B Felony, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Coercion in the First Degree, a class D Felony and Menacing in the Second Degree.  Mr. Bova is being held for arraignment.  Additional charges are expected.

Sheriff Allard thanks all the citizens who provided tips and video, as well as the Village of Addison Police Department, City of Corning Police Department, New York State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their assistance in this investigation.
