The audit ensures standards for hiring practices and misconduct reporting

Sheriff Allard is pleased to announce that the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office successfully passed its most recent NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Accreditation Audit for standards involving Hiring Practices and Law Enforcement Misconduct Reporting Standards.
These standards are mandatory for law enforcement agencies across NYS, and agencies are regularly audited to ensure that these standards are maintained.
Sheriff Allard stated, “The standards are important because they help to reinforce the credibility between our agency and the community that there are sworn to serve and protect. It helps to ensure Professionalism, Integrity, Leadership, and Service. The pillars of our core values.”
