The Village of North Hornell is accepting bids for 2002 Fire Engine

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of North Hornell(Village) is seeking and requesting sealed bids for the purchase of the Village’s Firefighting Vehicle Engine 85, a 2002 Freightliner Luverne with 23,874 miles with a Hale 1500 GPM Single Stage Pump and a 1,000-gallon poly tank.

The vehicle is being sold in its “as is” condition without any warranties. The successful bidder must be prepared to tender a bank draft of the bid amount at the time of delivery. Delivery will take place at 1 West Maplewood Avenue, North Hornell, NY 14843.

Sealed bids can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Village of North Hornell 4 West Maplewood Avenue, North Hornell, NY 14843, and should be marked Engine 85 Luverne Pumper Attention: Alexandria Greenthal, Village Clerk (607-324-7894).

All bids must be received by 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Village Hall, 4 West Maplewood Avenue, North Hornell, NY 14843.

The bids will be opened at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Village Hall, 4 West Maplewood Avenue, North Hornell, NY 14843.

REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS: The Village of North Hornell hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all sealed bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the Village’s best interest.

If the successful bidder is not a fire responder agency, all emergency lighting will be removed before the sale.
