Events planned in Hornell, Bath, Corning, and Elmira

Veteran’s Day is this Tuesday, November 11th and Steuben County has several events planned for the holiday honoring all who served.
In Hornell, the VFW will sponsor its annual ceremony on Broadway at 11AM to honor veterans. Following speeches and remarks will be a wreath-laying ceremony.
Also on Tuesday there will be a Veteran’s Day concert at Bath VA starting at 1PM at the Bath VA Medical Auditorium in Building 92. The Mountaineer Brass Band and Friends from Mansfield Commonwealth University will be performing marches, popular tunes and nostalgic classics and includes a salute to all branches of the US military to honor all who served.
In Corning on Veteran’s Day, Crystal City VFW Post 524 hosts an event at 3:30 that includes a Veteran’s Day ceremony and dinner. There will be a speech from guest speaker retired U.S. Army Reserve Captain Joel McLaughlin as well as a performance by the Crystal City VFW 524 Ritual Team. Dinner will follow catered by Fran’s Landing. Veterans eat free and guests pay $10 donation. Live music with Justin Raynor from 5 to 8PM
Nearby, in Chemung County, Elmira’s the annual Veteran’s Day Memorial Service will be held at 11AM in Wisner Park. A memorial service will follow at noon at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
