Gail E. BUCHHOLZ, 62, of Wellsville, NY, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in UR Jones Memorial Hospital following an illness.
Born May 23, 1963, in Warsaw, she was the daughter of Paul T. Cook and Delores Post Cook.
Gail loved camping, fishing, and enjoying cookouts. She took great joy in playing games on her computer, listening to music, and working on puzzles. She had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed her. Gail was a proud member of the “Old Hens Club,” and above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jesse (Emily) Schrader of Belmont and Sonya (Kurt) Sands of Cuba; her siblings, Gloria Teach, Ted (Sue) Cook, and Paul (Lori) Cook; five grandchildren, Katelyn, Zachary, Brittney, Tyler, and Evan; eight great-grandchildren, Zaylee, Madeline, Emberly, Kaizen, Alaynna, Declan, Clayton, and Westlynn. Gail will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her longtime companion, Matt Morrison. Gail was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Kenny Cook and Daniel Cook; her sister, Tina Schrader; her husband, Neil Buchholz; and her beloved dog, Muggsy.
Honoring Gail’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held in the spring on a date to be determined.
