Find out when City Hall closes, garbage pickup changes, HPL and HAT closures
From City Hall,
Hornell City Offices will close at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23 and will reopen on Monday, December 29, 2025, in observance of the Christmas holiday. The offices will also, close at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.
Garbage collection will be delayed one day the weeks of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The Hornell Public Library will be closed at 12:00 pm on Wednesday December 24 and reopen Friday December 26, 2025 in observance of the Christmas holiday The Library will also close at 12:00 pm Wednesday December 31, 2025, and will reopen on Friday January 2, 2026 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.
Hornell Area Transit buses will not run-on December 25, 2025 or January 1, 2026.
