The story of “Mister” shocked Hornell. A man had placed a cat inside of a bag before brutally slamming the bag to the ground in broad daylight. Witnesses immediately called the police who arrested Deshawn T. Miller of Hornell days later as “Mister” was undergoing emergency treatment at Cornell University Veterinary Center.

Deshawn T. Miller, 28, of Hornell was been arrested by NYS Police for Class E Felony Aggravated Felony Cruelty to Animals.

Weeks later, the story has reached a San Rafael animal rights group, “In Defense of Animals,” who went a step beyond just reporting the sad news. The group is calling for the maximum justice for “Mister,” and asking county residents to contact their elected District Attorney, Brooks Baker.
