A snapshot of life along the Canisteo River after Christmas
Photography by Janie Ferguson,
It is currently 16*, at 7:15 am, and cloudy here in Cameron Mills, NY with a winter weather advisory in effect for later today.
I begin this week with a snow covered, icy Canisteo river looking down stream with some pops of red in view, and a charming mourning dove a-top my bird feeders.

Next, another icy Canisteo river view with a red house across the river that you can see, and a spry squirrel eating sunflower seeds.

Then a delightful view of the Cole’s field and barn, and I’m ending today with a black-capped chickadee coming in for a landing.

I hope you all had a good Christmas. We still have one more family gathering Sunday, if the weather allows it. Here is a photo from our Christmas Eve gathering with my youngest daughter Anna, and her husband Ron’s children, and my youngest grandchildren.

Enjoy your weekend, Janie
