Ann Marie Cudoni, 70, Hornell

Ann Marie (Wilcox) Cudoni – 70 – of 58 Fulton St., Hornell, died Wednesday morning (December 24, 2025) at St. James Hospital, following a long illness.

Born in Hornell on November 9, 1955, she was the daughter of John & Elizabeth (O’Loughlin) Wilcox.

Ann Marie grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of St. Ann’s School and later Hornell High School (class of 1974).  For several years she had been employed as an optician’s assistant at the former Guarglia’s Opticians in Hornell.  Ann Marie also worked at ACES Dining Hall at Alfred State University (SUNY Alfred) and most recently as an optician’s assistant at the Vision Center at Wal-Mart in Hornell.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church where she was a former member of the St. Ann’s Choir.  Ann Marie was also a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge.  She enjoyed knitting & crocheting and was proud of the many beautiful Afghans and other items that she created and gave to family & friends.

Ann Marie enjoyed traveling and taking vacations (usually with her sister) and visiting different locations throughout the United States and Canada.  She had a deep love of animals and throughout the years had several dogs & cats that he made part of her family.  She also loved rooting for the Buffalo Bills — especially during the Super Bowl years.

In addition to her parents, Ann Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Wilcox; her granddaughter, Savanna Rose Dugo-Coots; her niece, Erin Carey; and her nephew, Andrew Wilcox.

Surviving are her daughter, Alicia Dugo of Hornell; her son, Benjamin Dugo II of Hornell; her former husband, Ben Dugo; 2 brothers, Stephen Wilcox of Hornell and Dennis (Peggy) Wilcox of Rochester;

her sister, Sarah Wilcox-Carey of Tampa, FL; 3 grandchildren, Kaylee (Bryant) Rivera, Dylan (Myah VanOrder) Coots and Clayton Coots; 4 great-grandchildren, Sandra Henshaw, Matilda Coots, Amelia Rivera and Oliver Rivera; her nieces & nephews, Abby, Stephanie, Alana, Emma, Barbara, John & Graham.  Ann Marie will also be sadly missed by her canine-companion, “Louie”.  

At Ann Marie’s request there will be no calling hours. A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Hornell Moose Lodge in Hornell.  All are welcome to come and share a story or memory of Ann Marie’s beautiful life. 

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.

Ann Marie’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY  14843.
