Avoca-Prattsburgh’s J.J. Crowder selected to play PHD Hoops in the Paris World Games Tour

PRATTSBURGH — It was a mix of good news and bad news recently for Avoca-Prattsburgh Junior guard Jaeden “JJ” Crowder.  

Crowder was recently selected by PHD Hoops to play for the United States of America in international Basketball competition in the Paris World games tour in France between the dates of June 22 and June 29, 2026. 

Out of a pool of applicants, Crowder was chosen for the tour because of his talent, playing ability, character and desire to be a part of a once in a lifetime experience.  PHD Hoops believes the development of young players both on and off the court. Combining the thrill of international Basketball competition with a cultural education that lasts a lifetime.

Crowder was off to a fantastic start to his junior season. Averaging 19.6 PPG.  He surpassed 1,000 career points in a 51-25 victory over Sodus on December 17th. 

On December 19, in a loss to Jasper-Troupsburg, Crowder broke his hand. He was initially expected to be out four to six weeks. However, he ended up having to have surgery and is now out for the season. 

Crowder ends his Junior season with 1,042 career points. 

The Avoca-Prattsburgh boys are now 5-7 on the season and sitting at the #6 seed.
