The Steuben County Athletic Association recently announced their 2025-2026 All County BoysBasketball All-Star teams.
For second Consecutive Season Canisteo-Greenwood Senior Carson Chaffee was named League MVP. Chaffee has had a very memorable senior season. Reaching a few milestones so far this season. In December Chaffee became Canisteo-Greenwoods all-time leading scorer with 1,273 career points.
This past Saturday, February 14th in the Steuben County Tournament Semifinals, Chafee scored a career-high and school record 45 points in a 93-33 win over Avoca-Prattsburgh. He also grabbed 15 Rebounds and dished out seven assists.
Chaffee scored 25 points in the first half and 16 in the 3rd quarter. He only played a minute of the 4th quarter scoring 4 points to give him 45 on the night.

Senior teammates Kevin and Thomas Sirianni were also named first team All-Stars.
Jasper-Troupsburg Senior Teammates Landon Zver and Jim Ainsworth were both named first team All-Stars.
Hammondsport Senior Henry Morrison rounded out the First Team All-Star list. For the first time in several years, the MVP and First Team All-Stars were all seniors. Only three of the 11first and second team All-Stars were Seniors last season.

Ainsworth leads J-T with 17.4 PPG and recently surpassed 1,000 career points. He also averaged 3.3 Assists per game and 2.2 Steals. Ainsworth was a second team all-Star last season.
Zver averages 15.6 PPG and leads the team with 8.8 Rebounds per game and 3.8 Assists per game, he shoots a team high 51% from the field. Zver was a first team All-Star last season. Heading into the county Championship game Zver has 964 career points.
Jasper-Troupsburg Coach Lou Zver said, “Over the past three seasons, Landon and Jim have perfectly complemented each other — Landon doing the little things that drive winning with his versatility, rebounding, and playmaking, and Jim providing consistent scoring and toughness in the biggest moments. Together, they’ve helped lead our program to the Class D championship game two of the last three years. Beyond the numbers, they’ve been outstanding teachers to our younger players and true ambassadors of the game. As their coach, I couldn’t ask for better leaders in setting the standard for preparation, effort, unselfish play, and great sportsmanship that defines Jasper-Troupsburg basketball.”
Thomas Sirianni was a second team All-Star last season; the senior has excelled this season as Robin to Chaffee’s Batman providing Chaffee with the ultimate Wingman.
Kevin Sirianni has provided steady scoring and senior leadership.
Henry Morrison was a second team All-Star last season; this season he surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds. Morrison currently has 1,280 career points, 519 Career rebounds, 230 career steals and 138 3-pointers.
This season Morrison is averaging 21.7 Points per game, 10.8 Rebounds, and 3.2 Steals.

Second Team All-County
Addison Junior Tyler Miller was named Second Team All-County along with Avoca-Prattsburgh Juniors J.J Crowder and Carter Button, Canisteo-Greenwood Junior James Smith and Addison Sophomore Gabe Strope round out the Second Team All-Stars.
Crowder was a first team all-Star last season while Miller was a Second team All-Star. Crowder was off to a fantastic start to his junior season. Averaging 19.6 PPG. He surpassed 1,000 career points in a 51-25 victory over Sodus on December 17th.
On December 19, in a loss to Jasper-Troupsburg, Crowder broke his hand. He was initially expected to be out four to six weeks. However, he ended up having to have surgery and is now out for the season. Crowder ended his junior season with 1,042 career points.
Smith is Canisteo-Greenwoods “Windex Man,” cleaning everything off the glass, a big-time rebounder who can also score. He has displayed his athletic ability on countless occasions this season.

No. 1 Canisteo-Greenwood will be playing No.2 Jasper-Troupsburg for the Steuben County Tournament Championship Wednesday February 18th at Addison High School at 7:15 p.m.
Canisteo-Greenwood is 15-3, and the No.2 Seed in Class B2 Sectionals. Two of their losses are to Class AAA Section four Schools Ithaca and 18-0 Corning.
The Steuben vs. Allegany Senior game will be Tuesday, March 17th at Cuba-Rushford. The Girls game will start at 6 p.m. The boys game is at 7:30 p.m.
Carson Chaffee and Landon Zver along with Bailey Mullen and Caidyn Jones will represent Steuben County at the Ronald McDonald Senior Game on Friday, March 27th at 5:30 and 7:30 at Gates-Chili in Rochester.
