Gregory K. SHELLEY, 71, of Belmont, NY, died Friday, April 17, 2026, in Olean General Hospital. 

Born April 20, 1954, in Wellsville, he was the son of Ross Kenneth and Inez Adelia Butts Shelley. 

As a graduate of Belmont Central School, Greg spent most of his time involved with the community and music and he served as the supervisor of the Teen Center in Belmont. He served as organist and choir director at Holy Family Church in Belmont, Belmont United Methodist Church, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, and most recently at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wellsville.  Greg organized a community choir which became the Camelot Choraleers.  He directed several plays and musicals for the Wellsville Musical Theatre, including the show Joseph at Genesee Valley Central School where he directed the show and the pit band.  He also led the Genesee Valley Drama Club for several years.  Before the closure of Belmont Central School, Greg wrote several Christmas productions for the community. 

Surviving are: his husband, Michael J. Feldbauer; two sisters, Barbara Bliven of Belmont and Donna Perkins of West Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Richard K. Shelley and Douglas S. Shelley; two sisters, Marlene A. Lewis and infant sister, Marilyn Shelley; and a nephew, Alan L. Lewis. 

Friends may call Monday, April 27, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 17 Schuyler Street, Belmont.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 206 North Main Street, Wellsville.  The funeral will be livestreamed on St. John’s Facebook page.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Belmont.
