From Janie Ferguson, pictured is the mural being painted at the Dormann Library
It is currently forty-nine degrees, and partly sunny here in the hamlet of Cameron Mills, NY this morning at 9:00 am. We are expecting a high of sixty-four today
I begin this Friday, May 22, 2026 with a sweet little female Baltimore oriole enjoying an orange, and Catherine as she continues painting her whimsical mural at the Dormann Library in Bath, NY.

Next, a curious male rose breasted grosbeak, and a wide shot of the muriel where you can view more of the children’s book characters, coming to life, as she works along, and a colorful, male, Baltimore oriole enjoying grape jelly, too.

Then one last shot of the murall as I ask Catherine if she could turn around for me and my grandchildren so we could get a picture or two, and a pair of rose breasted grosbeaks enjoying sunflower seeds.

I end today with a delicate Carolina wren enjoying bird seed. I hope you enjoy our Steuben County wildlife too!

Thinking, and honoring all of those who “gave all” this Memorial Day weekend, and the 250th year of America’s Independence. Thank you to all of you, and your families, that have given your lives for our freedoms here in the USA. The Land of the free and the home of the brave!
Enjoy your weekend,
Bye for now,
Janie
