George T. Bell: Father, Grandfather, and Brother

George T. Bell, 82, of Richburg, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Hart Comfort House, after a short illness.

Born on November 9, 1943, in Richburg, he was a son of George D. and Marion K. (Connors) Bell.  On April 22, 1978, in Sherman, New York he married the former Karen Scott who predeceased him in 2012.

George was a graduate of Bolivar Central School.  He enlisted in the United States NAVY on June 30, 1961 until July 19, 1961.  He was proud to have served, but disappointed his health wouldn’t allow him to continue.

He was a laborer for the Local Union 621 in Olean all of his career.

George was a member of the Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion in Bolivar, enjoyed watching westerns and sitting on his porch.

He is survived by two sons Joe (Christina) Bell of Bolivar and Christopher (Tara) Bell of Sarver, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a Brother Jack (Carol) Bell of Kane, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers James and Jerry Bell and a sister Diane Smith.

Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 South Main Street, Bolviar, on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 1-3:00 P.M.  A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home.  The Rev. Larry Allen will officiate.  Burial will be in Richburg Cemetery, Richburg, New York.
