Late August Photojournal by Janie Ferguson

It is currently sixty-four degrees and sunny here this morning in Cameron Mills, NY at just about 9:30am, with an expected high of seventy-three degrees today.

I begin this week with a delightful tufted titmouse enjoying birdseed, and a striking, male Baltimore oriole.

Next, a female rose-breasted grosbeak who is still enjoying sunflower seeds here today, this 28th day of August, along with a vibrant male, goldfinch, too, here in Steuben county.

Then a black-capped, long tailed, gray catbird who has been enjoying the grape jelly that I just recently put away as it gathers wasps around, too, this time of year. You may also see its cinnamon undertail coverts in this next shot.

I end today with a sassy bluejay at my bird bath, and a fond farewell to WENY’s Katherine Schwalm.  You will be greatly missed. May you be blessed in your new adventures.
