Steuben County Habitat for Humanity is opening a second ReStore at 6017 Magee Road in Hornell, New York. The new location will help the organization expand its services throughout Western Steuben County.

Donations will be accepted at the site on Monday, October 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Accepted items include furniture, appliances, lighting, household items, clothing, and building materials. Donated items will be offered for sale to the public when the ReStore opens, expected in late 2026 or early 2027.

For a complete list of accepted items, visit www.HabitatSteuben.org. Additional donation days will be announced in the coming weeks. Steuben County Habitat for Humanity also plans to begin offering pickup of large items in November.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, and home accessories at discounted prices. Each ReStore is independently managed by a local Habitat affiliate, and proceeds support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide affordable housing and strengthen communities locally and globally.

The Hornell ReStore will serve as a home base for expanding Habitat for Humanity’s work throughout Steuben County, including homebuilding, neighborhood revitalization, community education, and critical health and safety repairs.
