While law enforcement has not confirmed the incident, local residents are reporting that multiple victims were struck by a vehicle near Main Street in Canisteo NY, including children
UPDATE: The Canisteo Police Department confirmed that three children and one adult were struck by a vehicle earlier today. None of the vicitms suffered life threatening injury and the driver was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
“3 kids and an adult were hit! So sad,” was posted by a member of the “You know you are from Canisteo NY When…” Facebook group.
The incident appears to have happened near the Kwik Fill Red Apple store where according to another member of the local group, “People run that red light all the time! There is no turn on red!!!”
