Back to School Safety Reminder!

As our students head back to school, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office wants to wish everyone a safe, successful school year!
Drivers:
•Slow down in school zones
•Watch for crossing guards and school buses
•Never pass a stopped bus when flashing lights
Parents and Students:
•Review safe walking and biking routes
•Make eye contact with drivers before crossing
•Avoid distractions like phones when walking or biking
Our officers will be out patrolling school zones to ensure everyone’s safety. Let’s work together to keep our kids safe and our community strong.
