Steuben County Department of Public Works Announces Road Closure in the Town of Howard
BATH, NY — Commissioner Eric Rose of the Steuben County Department of Public Works has announced that County Route 14 (Campbell Creek – Baker’s Gulch Road) in the Town of Howard will be closed to all through traffic between Nicholson Road and Oak Hill Road on Tuesday, October 7, and Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a drainage pipe. There will be no on-site detour, and motorists are asked to use alternate local routes during this time.
The Department of Public Works appreciates the public’s cooperation and patience as this important infrastructure work is completed.
Road Closure Notice: County Route 84 – Squab Hollow-Willeyville Road
BATH, NY – Eric Rose, Commissioner of the Steuben County Department of Public Works, has announced a series of temporary road closures on County Route 84 (Squab Hollow–Willeyville Road) in the Towns of West Union and Troupsburg to allow crews to complete critical culvert replacement projects.
The following closures will take place:
- Wednesday, October 8, and Thursday, October 9, 2025
Location: Between Hillard Road and County Route 111 in the Town of Troupsburg
Reason: Installation of new crossover pipes
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day - Tuesday, October 14, 2025
Location: Between Gardner Road and McAllister Road in the Town of Troupsburg
Reason: Installation of a new cross-culvert pipe
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16, 2025
Location: Between County Route 98 and Downey Road in the Town of West Union
Reason: Installation of new cross-culvert pipes
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day
There will be no on-site detours during these closures. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use local roads to navigate around the work zones.
