As Halloween approaches in a couple weekends, locals are making plans for spooky season festivities

This Thursday October 23rd the Hornell American Legion holds their annual Halloween parade beginning at 7pm.
Participants will line up at the Community Bank parking lot and make their way to the Hornell High School Cafeteria.
There will be a costume contest with cash prizes. Cider and donut holes will be provided.

“Trunk or Treat” is set for next Saturday October 25th, 5pm sharp, at Broadway Mall in downtown Hornell.
This annual event is sponsored by Hornell Partners for Growth and has grown in popularity over the years.

What are the official Trick or Treating hours for Halloween in Hornell this year?
Mayor John Buckley told the Sun that for this Monday’s Common Council meeting there is a resolution on the agenda to set trick or treat hours from 6pm to 8pm on Halloween-October 31st, which is on a Friday night.
