BREAKING NEWS! Big thanks to Senators Gillibrand and Schumer!

From the Tri County YMCA,

The Tri-County YMCA of New York extends its gratitude to U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Senator Chuck Schumer, as well as their dedicated staff, for their leadership and partnership in securing this important federal investment for our community.

“We thank Senator Gillibrand and Senator Schumer for their tireless advocacy and collaboration in making this funding possible,” said Kristoph Kocan, Chief Executive Officer of the Tri-County YMCA of New York.

“Because of their efforts, the Tri-County YMCA was awarded $2 million in Congressionally Directed Spending for the David A. Gray Discovery Center. This funding will allow us to significantly expand access to high-quality child care for working families, establish a dedicated senior center in collaboration with the Steuben County Office for the Aging, and create new STEM and maker learning spaces that will inspire and prepare local students for the future. This state-of-the-art facility will help us better serve people of all ages, strengthen our programs and partnerships, and contribute to the continued revitalization of downtown Hornell.”
