Big FOX host Frank Acomb hosted a regular conversation with Steuben County Sheriff James Allard on his live talk show based in Corning NY. After some State of the Union takes, Sheriff talked about his trip to Washington DC where local connections led to tour of the Drug Enforcement Agency. That connection was the current DEA Administrator and former Steuben County law enforcement officer Terry Cole.

Cole and Allard have been longtime family friends leading the Sheriff to call the experience “surreal” as he looked out Cole’s office window. Cole gave Sheriff Allard and his group an inside look at the federal response to narcotics and how it impacts upstate NY.

The meat of the conversation focused on last month’s controversy over ICE in Steuben County. Allard made it clear that the false information about a “ICE detention center” came from an organized social media misinformation campaign.
