Joan E. KUHN, 85, of Whitesville, NY, died Thursday, March 12, 2026 in UR Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.  Born July 2, 1940, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Orval and Helen Smith Chambers.  

On March 30, 1963, in Whitesville, she married Aaron L. Kuhn, who predeceased her on November 15, 2023.  

A graduate of Whitesville High School, she was employed by Modern Diner in Wellsville, NY Telephone Co., Mapes Woodworking in Genesee, and Herbert Cooper Co. in Genesee.  Joan was a member of the Genesee Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary, Robert E. James American Legion Auxiliary, and served as a scout leader in Whitesville.  

Surviving are: three children, Jennifer Foth of Virginia Beach, VA, Deborah (Stephen) Murray of Friendship, and John (Teresa) Kuhn of Whitesville; six grandchildren, Peter (Jaime) Foth, Donald (Amanda) McNeely, Brandi (Tom “Frank” Smith) Murray, Matthew (Hannah) Ford, Aaron John (Madge “Megan”) Kuhn, and Sara (Logan) Lowe;  ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Mary Chambers; two brothers, Robert Chambers and James Chambers; and a sister, Avis Ransom.  

Friends may call at North Bingham Community Church, 2231 Bingham Center Road, North Bingham, PA on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 7:00.  Rev. Dennis Munro will officiate.  Burial will be in North Bingham Cemetery.  

Memorials may be made to Genesee Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 9, Genesee, PA.
