Robert J. (Bob) Radel died on March 14, 2026, in Casa Grande. He was born August 12, 1948 in Buffalo NY, the son of Robert A. and Angeline Radel.
Seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show captivated him and ignited his lifelong love for music. Bob was a talented musician, playing guitar and singing professionally beginning in his teens and continuing throughout his life. He played in various rock bands in the Olean, NY area, among them were Moondance, Surprise Package, Jumpstreet, and Generators.
He also worked for Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna NY, several dairy processing plants, and was an international medical courier traveling daily between Buffalo, NY and Toronto, Canada.
In 1993, Bob and his wife moved to Arizona where he learned the science of concrete, formulating new products and colors for several companies in Casa Grande and Phoenix. He was naturally curious, interested in science and history, and loved movies of all genres. He also loved his dogs, rescuing and caring for many stray and unwanted animals all throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane, his sister Barbra Fisher, daughter Emma Trapp, and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned. Family requests for any donations to go to companion animal rescues or shelters of your choice.
