From the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office,
The graduates from both our Full-time and Part-time Basic Corrections Academies have successfully completed the 40-hour Initial Pistol Course for Peace Officers that took place 03/30/26 to 04/03/2026. There were nine (9) Steuben County Corrections Officers and two (2) Schuyler County Corrections Officers completing the course.
The course was instructed by Captain Mills, Sergeant Sciotti, Sergeant Waight, and Officer Strittmatter.
