Howard L. “Howie” Crowner, 64, Wellsville

Howard L. “Howie” CROWNER, 64, of Wellsville, NY, died Friday, May 15, 2026, in his home. 

Born February 26, 1962 in Wellsville, he was the son of Howard L. and Jane Clark Parker. A 1980 graduate of Wellsville High School, he served in the U.S Army Reserves for six years. On October 1, 1988, in Scio, he married the former Kimberly Matteson, who survives. Howie drove semi-trucks, then worked as a welder for Air-Preheater for 35 years. After retirement, he worked at Runnings in Wellsville. 

Surviving besides his wife, Kim, are: his father, Howard; three sons, Justin Crowner (Amber) of Belmont, Andrew Crowner of Wellsville, and Kyle Crowner (Cassy) of Belmont; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five siblings, Faith Nickerson of Coudersport, PA, Timothy Crowner of Wellsville, Daniel (Emma) Crowner of Wellsville, Pamela (Robert) Guinnip of Wellsville, and Leona Ames of Scio; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Parker; two brothers-in-law, James Ames and Roy Nickerson; and his father-in-law, Calvin Matteson. 

There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Transplant House of Cleveland or to Allegany County Cancer Services.
