Connie was the eldest daughter of the late Volney and Mary Davenport.  She was an exceptional student, graduating high school in 1976 alongside her lifelong friend Judy Okeefe.  Her ambitions led her to earn a real estate license and a degree in business management.

On May 24, 2003, Connie married the love of her life, Jeffrey, in a beautiful ceremony at the Bruhl family home in Georgia.  That day marked the beginning of 23 wonderful years together.  Later building a loving home in Scio, NY, where they nurtured their family and shared countless memories.

Connie’s life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and generosity.  An accomplished artist, she found joy in crafting, painting, crocheting.  As well as gardening, redecorating, renovating many projects, spending time with her beloved Pomeranians and rooting for the Denver Broncos.  Known for her infectious smile and boundless generosity, Connie possessed a remarkable ability to uplift those around her, always ready with a laugh or a comforting smile for anyone in need.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey; her siblings, Volney (Keely) Davenport, Ronald (Faith) Davenport, Lori (Jim) Howden, Ty (Kathy) Davenport, Tina Layman, Sam (Debbie) Davenport, Cindy Davenport; her sons, Travis (Dani) Middaugh, Andy (Kay) Middaugh, and Josh (Clara) Bruhl; her daughter, Jessica (Jay) Daly; and her cherished grandchildren, Gwendolyn (Geoff) Schmid, Travis (Lizzy) Middaugh Jr., Gracie Middaugh, Jacob Bruhl, Zowie Bruhl, Austin Bruhl, Brantley Yaconish, and Jace Daly.  Connie’s legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Colin Middaugh, who will grow up with the warmth of her memory.

A private graveside ceremony will be held to honor Connie’s life, as per the family’s wishes.  While we grieve the loss of such a beautiful soul, we celebrate the love and light she brought into our lives.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during Connie’s final days.  They also express their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and condolences from friends and family during this difficult time.
