As Racalto’s celebrates two years in business, we want to pause and say one simple thing:
Thank you.
When we opened our doors, our vision was never just to build a restaurant. We wanted to build a place where families could gather, neighbors could reconnect, and where every meal served could help strengthen our community.
Because of your support, that vision has become a reality.
Giving Back. One of the promises we made from day one was that Racalto’s would always give back.
Through our Round Up Program, fundraising events, and direct donations, together we have donated tens of thousands of dollars to local organizations that make our community a better place.
Over the past two years, our Round Up Program has benefited:

These organizations represent veterans, children, first responders, families facing hardship, animal rescue organizations, youth athletics, individuals with disabilities, churches, and countless volunteers who dedicate themselves to serving others.
Community Fundraisers
In addition to our Round Up Program, Racalto’s has proudly hosted and supported numerous community events and fundraisers, including:
* Raising nearly $4,000 for the Hornell Steamers and Veterans One Stop.
* Hosting the New York State Sheriffs’ Institute Benefit Dinner supporting its Summer Camp and Wellness Center.
* Raised over $4000 for the Hornell Area Humane Society
* Partnering with United Way during regional flooding to prepare and distribute hundreds of meals to displaced families, first responders, and utility crews.
* Providing free Veterans Day meals and delivering meals to veterans at the Bath VA Medical Center.
* Supporting local food pantries through Fresh Start Church.
* Hosting holiday events with Santa for local families.
* Sponsoring community theater and numerous local events throughout the year.
Investing in Our Restaurant
We’ve also reinvested heavily into Racalto’s because we believe our community deserves a first-class dining experience.
During the past two years, we’ve:
* Completely renovated our main dining room and bar.
* Made our banquet room available free of charge for the community.
* Tripled the number of handicap parking spaces.
* Rebuilt our ADA accessible restrooms.
* Built a beautiful outdoor patio dining area.
* Replaced the restaurant roof.
* Remodeled our kitchen.
* Purchased a new smoker and commercial kitchen equipment.
* Improved accessibility throughout the building.
* Continued updating our guest experience.
Supporting Local Businesses
Whenever possible, we purchase products from local farms and suppliers because supporting local businesses helps strengthen our regional economy. We are proud to partner with local producers and vendors whenever we can.
Our Team
Perhaps our proudest accomplishment has been watching our team grow.
Over the past two years, many of our young employees have graduated from high school, headed off to college, entered military service, or started exciting new careers. Watching them mature into hardworking, responsible young adults has been incredibly rewarding.
We are equally grateful for every cook, server, bartender, dishwasher, host, and manager who has helped build Racalto’s into what it is today. Their hard work and dedication are the reason guests continue to return.
