Glenn Zweygardt has a reputation for bold and interesting themes, turning heads

You’ve likely driven past his Route 21 location in Alfred Station NY. The big red metal building with dozens of sculptures on the west side of the state route. Some stand seven feet tall, colorful mixes of rock, metal, and ceramics that all achieve the same goal: They make you ask, ‘what the heck is that?’
Working in bronze, stone, glass, and steel, Zweygardt creates compelling sculptural forms that bridge the intersection of nature, technology, and architecture. Internationally recognized for his monumental works, his art explores the beauty of contrasting forms.
Of course some of this Zweygardt art is just really cool. They are pieces of work that people notice and just say, “what is that?” They become landmarks, garden art, tributes, and monuments in people’s lives.
Glenn’s blend of metal, glass, stone, and ceramics come in all shapes and sizes and his commissioned work has put some really neat metal work into the downtown Hornell NY experience. Read more about a recent project that he and Christine completed at “Pave Alley.”
An artist of such profile, with a storied career, and a great collection ready for sale was a perfect match for the Little Gem gallery on Main Street Wellsville. One of the gallery’s artists and curators Nancy Reuning was thrilled to see the front windows full of Zweygardt ‘s sculptures.
