A perfect mix of color the first weekend of autumn in Steuben County

It is currently forty one degrees and foggy out with a sunny day expected today, at 7:35 am this 25th day of September here along the Canisteo River here in Cameron Mills, NY.
I begin this week’s photos with this morning’s foggy view at 7:03 am, along the Canisteo River, and a vibrant, charming goldfinch, too.
Then a female grosbeak enjoying sunflower seeds with goldenrod for beauty and pine branches above for shelter, too. Her colors are subdued compared to the male bright plumage. They migrate south in late September through mid October. I still enjoy seeing them here.
Next a stunning cotton candy reflective sunset from this week here, and less than ten minutes later another sunset view under twilight skies, and altocumulas clouds. They typically appear as textured, or rolling layers of small , rounded masses clumped together.
Next a lovely, young female cardinal just peeking its head out from the pines, and autumn goldenrods and delicate, little asters for decorations above my feeders.

I end today with a handsome, sassy blue jay at my bird bath.
