2-alarm fire was a commendable save with large mutual aid response

From Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department,
Tuesday night at 20:39 Wellsville Fire Department, Ambulance Corps, Andover Fire Department with a Air Truck, and District 4 FAST Team for a Structure Fire at the Crown Inn on State Route 417 in the town of Wellsville. Wellsville Fire Department had a full department response bringing Wellsville 1, 2, 3, 7, and 9 to the scene. First arriving units determined that the fire wouldn’t be able to be easily accessible from the front, redirecting the next engine company to access through a neighboring driveway to get to the backside of the building.
A 2nd alarm was requested by on scene command brining Andover with an Engine and tanker, and Scio Fire Department with a tanker to the scene. Allentown Fire Department provided a Standby at Fire Headquarters. The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to just two rooms. Units operated on scene until around 11:30pm. At this time the fire is still under investigation.

Wellsville Fire Department was also assisted at the scene by the Allegany County Emergency Management, Allegany County Fire Investigators, Allegany County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police, Allegany County Sheriff’s Department 911 Center, The Red Cross, and National Fuel.
