Photojournal by Janie Ferguson,

Good Friday Morning from Cameron Mills, NY, here along the foggy Canisteo River today. It is currently thirty-nine degrees here at 8:30 am as I watch a squirrel devouring my sunflower seeds, a tufted titmouse, sparrows, a goldfinch, and a black capped chickadee, enjoying the bird seed, as I enjoy listening to Tim Janis playing hymns, too.

I begin this week with a bright, fearless, blue jay, and deep warm yellow-orange leaves along this relaxing ride towards home on this Painted Post backroad.

Then a busy sparrow, and another splendid, vibrant view this fine fall day as my daughter Anna and I return from a trip to Corning.

We enjoyed a meal at Giuseppe’s Italian Eatery, great food, & delightful staff; stopped in at the Corning Museum of Glass, a treasure of a place with glass pumpkins galore; and just had to stop at Peaches and Cream for an ice cream cone together, too.

I end today with a dark-eyed tufted titmouse delight, and rich red, and an amber glow of the late afternoon sun at our Townline Cemetery here in the lovely hamlet of Cameron Mills, NY.

I love the fall of the year, especially here in Steuben County. I hope you enjoy the beauty through my lens, and your weekend, too.
