Carolyn Ann (nee McClintock) Brizzee, 89, passed on to her Lord and heavenly family on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
She was born on April 11, 1937, in North Hornell, NY. Carolyn graduated from the former Canisteo Central School and attended Houghton College as a nursing major. She was a retired nurse who loved spending time with her large family, playing euchre, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Carolyn had a generous heart and always had a kind word to say to everyone she met.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brizzee; her parents, Rev. Joseph and Sarah McClintock: and her siblings: Ruth Bluett, Betty Hurd, John McClintock, and Lois Kame.
She is survived by her children: Deborah (Robert) McKeown, Judith (Roy) Radley, Rev. Andrew (Tina) Pollock, and Stephen (Joetta) Pollock; her stepchildren: Mike (Narda) Brizzee, Jeffrey (Darlene) Brizzee, Jody (Christine) Brizzee, John Brizzee, Joe Falkowski, and Lisa Falkowski; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the HP Smith & Son Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Canisteo, NY 14823. A memorial service will take place at this same location immediately following calling hours at 12:00 p.m. Final internment will be made at Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo, NY. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of choice.
