A delight for the eyes: Autumn peaks in the Canisteo River Valley

A Photojournal by Janie Ferguson,

Good Friday Morning,

It is fifty-nine degrees & cloudy with rain expected soon, here in Cameron Mills, NY at 8:30 am, this mid October day, here along the Canisteo River. There are fabulous fall colors popping out throughout the hamlet, for us all to enjoy.

Looking down stream is this gloriose hillside view of yellows, greens, reds and oranges surrounding the still waters of the river. Delighting the eyes of all who stop long enough to soak in the beauty.

Then autumn’s rust colors in view across the calm, earthy toned, field to the Cole Farm just down the lane.

Another downstream view to the right full of colors to see.

Next another delightful view from the bridge looking upstream, and a house along the banks of the river, too, with such delightful foliage to see.

I end today with a warm autumn field showing us its beauty, with hills full of color climbing behind it.

I love this time of year, as I’m sure many of you do, too, as summer is gone, fall has arrived, and winter will come, too.

So blessed we all are to have the Lord’s beautiful creation all around us to delight our hearts and souls.

Enjoy your weekend, Janie
